fcitx-m17n software package provides Free Chinese Input Toy of X - m17n module, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fcitx-m17n
fcitx-m17n is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fcitx-m17n package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fcitx-m17n *
